To promote trade, commerce and industry in India and in particular connected with Metal Containers & its allied products like Caps, Closures, Lug caps, Components, Printed sheets etc. (hereinafter referred as Metal Packaging). |

To promote and advance commercial and technical education of different branches of art and science as may tend to develop trade, commerce and industries in India, particularly Metal Packaging . |

To communicate with respective ministries, government departments, chambers of commerce and other commercial, industrial bodies within or outside India and to promote measure for promotion of Metal Packaging Industry and persons connected therein. |

To collect and circulate statistics and other information relating to Metal Packaging. |
|
To arbitrate disputes arising out of commercial transactions between parties willing or agreeing to abide by decision of the Arbitrator/s nominated by the Association. |
|
To form and get accepted and implemented standards for the necessary raw materials, finished goods and allied products of Metal Packaging industry by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Government departments or other authority or association of any concerned industry. |

To work closely with Indian Institute of Packaging and to encourage, assist and extend knowledge and information connected with Metal Packaging Industry in India by establishment of libraries, promotion of discussion or by holding conferences, arranging talks and lectures, publishing periodicals, journals, books and establishing educational documents or by encouraging Research work or whatsoever otherwise, to establish libraries and reading rooms for Members and also to arrange for Consultancy, organizing seminars & training activities for the Members. |

To undertake, encourage and assist Research and Development work with a view to raising the quality standards of Metal Packaging. Besides, to carry out Research, Development and Educational activities including Testing and Training of the overall promotion of Metal Packaging. Also to establish Research, Development and Testing Centers at various locations to serve the interest of the Members and Industry. |

To do all such things as may be deemed incidental or conductive to the Development of trade, commerce and industry or to the attainment of all or any of the objects for which the Association is established. |

To purchase, take lease and exchange, hire or otherwise acquire any movable or immovable property which may be deemed necessary or convenient for any of the purpose of the Association. |

To print and publish any newspapers, periodicals, books or leaflets that the Association may think desirable for the promotion of its objects. |
|
To borrow and raise money in such manner as the Association may think of it. |
|
To invest any money of the Association not immediately required for any of its objects, in such manner as may from time to time be determined by Managing Committee. And also to Invest the income generated from the R&D Centers of the Association. |

To subscribe to any Charity and to Grant any Donation. |
|
To associate with other similar organizations for promoting the objectives of the Association. |
|
To appoint Sub-Committees to plan and implement programmes beneficial to a particular weaker section of the Association like woman, children, unemployment youths, aged and disabled persons. |
